China’s low-altitude logistics sector has reached a landmark milestone as the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) issued its first nationwide operational permit for drone logistics services. This regulatory breakthrough is propelling the adoption of "drone+" models, with leading firms deploying thousands of drones for urban delivery and emergency cargo transport. Data shows drone deliveries can reduce delivery times in remote areas to under 30 minutes—a fivefold improvement over traditional logistics. Meanwhile, autonomous trucks and smart sorting robots are increasingly used in cross-border freight, driving full-chain digitization. Industry reports estimate the low-altitude logistics market will exceed RMB 10 billion by 2025, accounting for 15% of last-mile delivery services. However, regulatory standards for airspace management and data security are being refined to ensure safe, large-scale adoption.
